the berrison adventure life

Iceland, Day 2: Holmavik to Akureyri

First night in the van. Slept alright (we slept for 12 hours. I think it’s safe to say, we were tired).

We made a delicious breakfast of skyr, apples, and museli (and some good old Starbucks instant Via coffee).

Perfect start to the day.

We headed into Holmavik to check out the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft. It was pretty interesting. I recommend it if you like history and weird things.

Necro pants. Look that up.

We took a little look around Holmavik. It’s a sleepy little sea side town in the Westfjords. Beautiful.

Next we headed to Borgarvirki, which is a viking fortress and one of Icelands top 25 historical sites. I wish the photos could convey how windy it was.

We stopped a couple more times to stretch and see some sites.

Got to our campsite Harmar in Akureyri, settled in and BBQ’d some dinner (and clearly. Beer). This van life is pretty sweet. Tucking in early tonight as we have a big day tomorrow, but you are going to have to check back to see what we have planned. One hint, it’s a huge bucket list item for me!

Skal!

Glamping at its finest. It’s a fun way to travel, I couldn’t live like this though. Cudos to those who can!
